Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Humanities

 

36 credit hours in four units.

Humanities Core

HUM 302 Comparative Humanities
HUM 360 or another approved course in Non-Western Traditions 6 hours from HUM 320, 330, 340, or 350

Focus

12 hours organized and approved as either an historical period, a discipline or an area of study.

Electives

6 hours in addition to your Focus from approved courses.

Focus and Elective Courses

Eligible courses include courses in African / African American Studies, Anthropology, Appalachian Studies, Art History, Broadcasting, Communications, Design History, English and Theater, Foreign Culture and Civilization, French, German, Spanish, or Japanese literature and culture, History, Humanities, Music History, Philosophy and Religion, and Women’s Studies, among others.

Courses must be approved by the Humanities advisor.
